This paper gun appears on the back of a box of 18 "Interplanetary Space Men" made by Lido Toy Co in the 1950s. Promoted in conjunction with the popular Captain Video tv show, and consequently licensed by the Dumont Television Network which carried the show,the box for these space men has, on the back, not only this Captain Video gun but also a Captain Video Badge.
