The Dan Dare Cosmic Ray Gun by Palitoy was made in the 1950s. A flashlite gun, it has an ingenious device at the front of the barrel which snaps red or yellow lenses over the bulb to change the color of the light ray. A remarkably beautiful gun, the Cosmic Ray was the model for other rayguns, including the Italian Atomic Orbetor X. Length 6 1/4 inches.
