The Rocket Rifle is a very early space rifle, probably produced in the first years of the decade of the 1950s. Made to shoot corks, it has a wooden stock, tin double barrels, and two levers below the barrels which can be pulled back to cock the gun. Like many early Japanese space guns, this one has motifs that relate to both space and the American wild west. Thus the gun has both a cowboy-like cylinder beneath the barrel as well as images of shace ships, stars and planets. Length 12 inches.
